Fees

Devonport Family Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. Consultation fees are payable in full at the time of consultation by cash, credit card, EFTPOS, or cheque. Medicare rebates can be deposited into your savings or cheque account at the same time.

A list of consultation fees, including for pensioners, healthcare card holders, veterans, and children under 16, is displayed in the reception area. Feel free to call us for fee information.

Patients with financial difficulties should speak with reception staff prior to an appointment, either in person or via telephone.

In addition to consultation fees, a materials fee will be charged for all dressings, materials used in procedures, contraceptives, and certain vaccines. The materials fee applies to all patients (including concession cardholders).

If an appointment is no longer required, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can allocate it to another patient. A $50 fee may be charged for non-attendance, which cannot be claimed from Medicare.
