Dr Suresh Sharma

Dr Suresh Sharma is a highly experienced GP with 30+ years in practice. He began his medical career in 1992 after completing his MBBS in India, followed by an MD degree in Dermatology & Venereology in 1997, building strong expertise in skin and comprehensive care.
Before moving to Australia in 2010, he worked in Ministry of Health, Mauritius for 8+ years. He has served the Devonport community as a dedicated family doctor, forming long-term relationships and caring for generations with a focus on continuity, compassion, and personalized care.
Dr Sharma is known for his thorough, patient-focused consultations and collaborative approach, supporting patients through all life stages to achieve the best outcomes.
He is actively involved in medical education as a FRACGP Examiner and GP Supervisor.
Originally from India, he enjoys cricket and brings a warm, approachable style to his practice. He is a proud father—his daughter is a dentist in Launceston, and his son is pursuing university studies.
Dr Sharma is committed to accessible, holistic, evidence-based care, from prevention and early diagnosis to managing complex and chronic conditions for the whole family.
